Stacey Glazer holds an MA in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS). In 2021, she completed her certificate in Jewish Ethics and Social Justice, also from JTS. Stacey’s Bachelors is in theatre from Florida State University. She is a theatre director in Austin, TX, and a founding member of the City Theatre Company. Stacey also teaches both Hebrew and Judaics at Congregation Agudas Achim and Congregation Beth Shalom in Austin. Prior to NewCaje, Stacey worked as an Engagement Director and as the Associate Director for Synagogue Support for USY. Before starting down the professional Jewish path, Stacey was a full-time bartender. Stacey lives with her husband, Marc Friedman, and her five cats, Chava, Maya, Simon, Ari, and Herschel. When she isn’t working or directing, Stacey enjoys doing Krav Maga, writing Jewish and feminist slam poetry, and painting.
