Goucher College is hosting NewCAJE in their newly built Fireside dorm building. Fireside has both single and double bed dorm rooms which are a short, mostly level, walk from the dining hall and classrooms. The rooms are traditional college dorm rooms with twin beds (no bunk beds) and both public and private bathrooms in the hall.
Alternatively, the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel is the official hotel of NewCAJE16 and will be hosting our evening programming in their ballroom. They are located just outside Goucher College campus and offer a free shuttle to the Goucher College campus from 7:30am – 6:00pm.
For commuters and those staying in the dorms, there is plenty of parking on the Goucher College campus near both the dorm rooms, (the Decker Sports and Recreation Center Parking), and the classrooms (visitor parking near the gate).
Having reflected on NewCAJE9, I realize how fortunate I am to have participated in the magic of the experience. I was inspired spiritually through the learning, new friendships, and true intentionality of every moment. I truly was present in each moment, and found meaning in the word ‘hineni,’ ‘I am here’.
I was so fortunate to have grown up at CAJE, surrounded by amazingly talented and knowledgeable musicians, artists, and educators who helped set me on the path of Jewish music and education that I am on today. It is such a privilege to bring this all full circle and share my love for Jewish music with those who taught me and the next generation of Jewish musicians.
The idea of gathering Jewish educators together to provide them with the networking, skills, & confidence to elevate the Jewish world & beyond is exhilarating.
